Industry Safety Programs
The construction industry is required to comply with all the
same requirements as general industry under
OSHA standards as well as programs established
specifically for the construction industry.
As an example, if a construction company has employees
using respirators, it would be required to follow the same
criteria for Respiratory Protection as general industry is
required to; if
the construction company has potentially
hazardous materials on site it would be required to
have the same Hazards Communication program as general
industry, if it has confined spaces it would be required to
have a Confined Space Entry program and
it would be required to have a Lockout/Tagout program,
Personal Protective Equipment program, and so
forth.
Additionally, the construction industry, depending upon
its processes, may need to have some of the following programs
as well:
Demolition
